Shannon International Airport is the closest & biggest Airport, & you can get there from locations all over Europe with the excellent & cheap Ryanair. Ryanair also flies to Dublin, Galway & Kerry.Aer Lingus is Ireland's worldwide air carrier & flies to Shannon & Dublin from locations all over world.Aer Arainn is a small but reliable carrier & flies to Shannon from locations within Ireland.
By Sea:
Car Ferries operate daily routes from France & the UK to ferry ports in Dublin, Rosslare, Cork & Belfast. Ferry companies include Irish Ferries ∓ Swansea-Cork Ferries.Once you get to Ireland your on your way!
By Car:
If your travelling from the South/South-East or the East (e.g. Cork, Rosslare, Dublin) then head straight for Limerick & from there travel north to the town of Ennis.If you are flying into Shannon you should also head north to Ennis.
If you are travelling from the North/North-West (Belfast, Donegal, Sligo) head for Galway

The annual West of Ireland Championship is held at Lahinch Golf Club each August. There is a second golf course in Lahinch which is open to non-members. Spanish Point has a tricky 9-hole course.
